Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join our team! As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the restaurant’s operational performance during your shift. You will create employee schedules, supervise staff, and assign duties to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with restaurant experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all front-of-house staff during service (servers, hosts, bussers, bar staff).
- Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate table flow, reservations, waitlists, and seating strategy.
- Monitor staff performance, punctuality, uniform standards, and service quality.
- Support training of new employees and ongoing team development.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Enforce company policies, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and daily reporting.
- Step in operationally when needed during high-volume periods.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management (Floor Manager / Supervisor / Assistant Manager).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, holidays).
- Knowledge of POS systems and reservation platforms is a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
